About Prime Gap Mining

How It Works
  1. Miner constructs start = SHA256d(header) << shift + adder
  2. Tests start for primality (BPSW probabilistic test, then APR-CL/ECPP proof for records)
  3. Finds the next prime end after start
  4. Gap = end - start
  5. Merit = gap / ln(start)
  6. Block accepted if achieved difficulty ≥ target difficulty
Why It Matters

Every block mined by Freycoin contributes to the mathematical frontier of prime gap research. Large prime gaps are genuine mathematical discoveries - they advance human knowledge of number theory.
